Pursuing Your Investment Goals
Fee-based investment management, financial planning, and retirement plan advice for individuals, families, and employers in Missouri and Kansas.
Why work with a fiduciary adviser?
A fiduciary duty to our advisory clients
As a registered investment adviser, FTPWC owes its advisory clients a fiduciary duty. That includes acting in your best interest when we give you investment advice and telling you about our conflicts of interest.
Independent, with conflicts disclosed
FTPWC is not owned by a bank, broker-dealer, or fund company, and we can recommend investments from many providers. Our advisers are also licensed insurance agents who earn commissions when clients buy insurance or annuities, and FTPWC pays certain credit unions when members they refer become clients. We explain these conflicts, and how we address them, in our Form ADV Part 2A.

What working with us looks like
Advice based on your whole financial picture
We start by learning about your goals, time horizon, income needs, taxes, and the accounts you hold in other places. Your plan and portfolio are built around that picture and reviewed with you regularly.
A personal, responsive relationship
You work directly with the advisers who manage your account, in Springfield, in Kansas City, or by phone and video.
A clear fee you can see
Our investment management fee is a percentage of the assets we manage, up to 1.00% per year, negotiable, and billed quarterly in arrears. Because the fee grows as the assets we manage grow, we earn more when you add assets, including assets rolled over from an employer plan. That is a conflict of interest, and we disclose it in Form ADV Part 2A.

Help with more complex needs
We coordinate with your tax advisor, estate attorney, trust administrator, and other professionals so that your plan works together.
Your assets stay with an independent custodian
Client accounts are held at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., an independent qualified custodian that is not affiliated with FTPWC. You receive account statements directly from Schwab, and we encourage you to compare them with any reports we send. FTPWC has limited custody only because, with your written authorization, Schwab deducts our advisory fee from your account.

On February 4, 2009, before founding FTPWC, Brent Weisenborn testified before the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture as CEO of Agora-X, LLC. The hearing reviewed draft derivatives market reform legislation, the Derivatives Markets Transparency and Accountability Act of 2009, which addressed transparency and oversight of futures and over-the-counter derivatives markets.
